Jointly organized with the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), in conjunction with Science and Innovation Carnival is seen as a strategic collaboration. This partnership augurs well with our continuous effort to transform the event through innovations and creativity initiatives. Amongst the initiatives taken are the setting up of an Information Kiosk with the objective of enhancing effective and efficient data sharing and coordination especially the result of the events. The introduction of Corporate Box Seats and BIMP EAGA category for boat race are part of the initiative to incorporate the commercial and tourism value of the event. Other than regatta as the anchor event, the Regatta Talent Search and the Miss Kebaya (Puteri Kebaya) competition will be the crowd puller in the evening.

The theme … the race for peace since time immemorial has been the hallmark and branding associated with this premier event, which we believe is not only crucial and relevant for our country as a whole but also for global peace through the participation of international teams. Peace ensures harmony and stability as well as unity among our people and hence continued progress of the country. Without peace, precisely nothing much can be achieved other than unrest, instability, disunity, conflicts and what note. Based on its legacy, the concept of this premier event can serve as an inspiration and a model to promote peace.

Last but not least, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all relevant government agencies especially the State and Federal Ministry of Tourism for their continuous support and not forgetting the corporate sectors for their continuous financial contribution as part of their social obligation called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).Special thanks also goes to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia (MOSTI) for their participation, cooperation and contributions such as creative and innovative ideas thus making this event a special happening to look for.

Besides, we would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all the Working Committees for their commitment, cooperation and for exhibiting high spirit of volunteerism thus in making this event a success.

Lastly, we wish all spectators, race participants and tourists alike an enjoyable time and stay in the land of the hornbill.

Thank you.
